Privacy Policy
We're a small team and we've written this in plain English. Short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we don't sell your data, and you can delete it whenever you want.
What we collect
Account info you provide (email, username, display name). Content you post. Usage analytics (which pages you visit, what you click) so we can improve the product. Device info (browser, OS) for security and rendering.
What we don't collect
We don't sell your data. We don't run ad networks or third-party trackers. We don't read your DMs — they're encrypted at rest, and only you and the recipient can see the contents.
How we use it
To run the service. To personalize your feed and recommendations. To send the notifications you've enabled. To detect and prevent abuse. To respond when you contact support.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and preference cookies to remember your interests/theme. No third-party advertising cookies.
Sharing
We share data with subprocessors who run our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, payment processing). Each is bound by a data processing agreement. We never share with advertisers.
Your rights
You can export your data, correct it, or delete it from Settings → Privacy. EU/UK users have full GDPR rights; California users have CCPA rights. Email privacy@ge-on.com to exercise them.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. After deletion, content is removed within 30 days; backups roll off within 90 days.
Security
TLS in transit, encryption at rest, hardware-keyed 2FA available. We disclose breaches affecting your data within 72 hours of confirmation.
Children
Ge·on is not directed to children under 13. We delete accounts we discover that don't meet the age requirement.
